#1 Reason You Don't Achieve The Goals You Set!!!

I just sent a good friend of mine his daily inspirational quote and it gave me a bit of food for thought on what to blog about this morning. I chose the topic of "follow through" and gave the analogy of planting a seed in the ground and just walking away without watering it, making sure it is getting adequate sunshine, fertilizer etc. Now... the chances of that seed growing without a bit of attention are pretty much slim to nothing, so think about that when you set a goal for yourself.

The number one reason goals never become realized is follow through. We want to achieve a certain goal and we write down our intention and all the steps it takes to get where we want to go and then we get busy with life and well I am sure you know where I am going with this - the goal never gets to see the light of day!!! Follow through WILL get you the results you desire. Here is a quote by a widely respected and successful business women named Mary Kay Ash - the founder of Mary Kay cosmetics, that illustrates this point so beautifully :)

“Those who are blessed with the most talent don't necessarily outperform everyone else. It's the people with follow-through who excel.”

When Mary Kay was passed over for a promotion and it was given to a man that she had trained she decided to quit her job and write a book to help women like herself achieve success in business. Well, that book became a plan for her own successful business - the rest as they say is history.

Now Mary Kay would NEVER have become the success that she was had she not followed through with her plan. On that note here is a link on to "How to Overcome Procrastination" So set some goals and most importantly FOLLOW THROUGH with them. Make a plan with small steps to follow so you do not become overwhelmed and you WILL have success!!!  Also remember kids learn best by example so if you show them you have follow through they will follow suit.

Have an awesome Tuesday :)
